Onsite Computer Repairs* We'll come out to your home, or office, to work on your computer issues. Sometimes the biggest annoyance can be cured with a few simple, but well-placed, mouse-clicks. The problem is that most computer-users do not know where to 'click' to resolve these issues. If we come out to your home, or office, and discover the repair solution is similar to the one described above, we'll offer to perform some routine "free" maintenance services for you; we're already sitting in front of your computer anyway, we'll make good use of the time spent sitting there. We can usually tell you how much a repair service will cost before we begin; after diagnosing the computer, the repair may take a different course. If such a change in repair routes in needed, your technician will explain to you the issue and may need your permission to continue. Only after the diagnostics (which are always free at NCS) can we accurately price out a repair and service call. That's why we 'estimate' the repair costs when you describe your computer problem. *Onsite computer repair currently incurs an 'onsite technician fee' of $35.00 (subject to change) This fee is necessary whenever a technician is required to go onsite for repair work. Special arrangements can be made to pick-up, or drop off, equipment without incurring this fee. The fee pays for vehicle fuel, and some technician pay, to reach the worksite. Additional distance fees may apply when the worksite is beyond 50 miles from the Naples office. Clients will be informed of the additional distance fee prior to departure from the Naples office. Payment for all repair services is expected at the time of service completion; please be prepared to write a personal check, have your credit card ready, or have another form of payment ready for processing before the technician departs from your home or office.
In Shop Computer Repairs A little known fact is that when you turn your PC in for service; you're probably getting more service for your money, than if the technician worked in your home. The technician wants the PC to work noticeably well when returned, so, given that amount of time the PC will 'sit" in the shop, he'll start a number of additional services that he would not normally begin. Chargeable onsite services such as Microsoft Patch Updates, malware software updates and cleaning-up your temporary file storage areas are common practice. "When the tech has time" is key. So, whenever possible, try to have your PC serviced at the shop, you'll get more for your money and you'll save the $35 onsite tech fee too! Avoid the onsite technician fee, by making arrangements to pick-up, or drop-off, your equipment for in-shop service and/or repairs.
Custom Tutoring and Individual Training Young, or older, persons wishing to learn new computer skills is always commendable. We treat anyone learning new skills with the utmost respect and courteousness. Our tutoring structure is generally limited to three, or less, participants per lesson. We believe classroom and/or 'lecture-type' instruction is not the best way to learn new computer skills, and have found one-on-one instruction to be the best, and most rewarding, intensely-focused tutoring experience available. You can feel comfortable with your technician, and ask any computer question without worrying about 'sounding stupid'; there are no stupid questions! If you do not know something, it is not your 'fault'. We understand this and want our clients (at every age; 9 or 90) to feel comfortable to ask computer questions; no one will laugh at you, or think any less of you after your question is asked, we are there to answer ALL your questions! This has been found to be 'the most common fear' of people who seek computer tutoring, "worrying that the tutor will think the trainee is stupid." VERY IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Trainee MUST have a valid and licensed copy of the subject software installed for training; Additional fees apply when 'borrowing' NCS hardware with the appropriate software installed for training/tutorial purposes. You will not be provided with a copy of the tutorial subject software. Each trainee will receive the appropriate training material in the form of an easy-to-understand soft-cover subject book. When you call to schedule a tutorial session, please be prepared to verify the version of your installed software. Lessons are delivered in one-of-four methods; #1- One-on-one in your home, on your computing equipment, in 15 minute increments, or 1-hour sessions. With a maximum of 2 hour daily lessons, no more than two sessions per week. | #2- Up to three persons in your home, on your computing equipment, in 1-hour increment sessions. With a maximum of 3 hour daily lessons, no more than four sessions per week. | #3- One-on-one in your home, on our laptop and software equipment, in 15 minute increments, or 1-hour sessions. Tutorial Package- A three-hour class in your home, with each user having his/her own PC or laptop, (or borrowing up to two from NCS (additional fees apply) twice per week. Each participant will receive their own new copy of Learning Microsoft© Windows, written by H. Lahey, a lined-notebook and ink pen for note taking. The host (homeowner) will receive a coupon worth $50 off any computer-related repair work (w-no expiration date) for their generosity allowing us to use their home for training purposes a few hours per week. Structured and customized tutorial (& payment) plans are available for qualified trainees. Prior approval is necessary for any restructuring of a tutorial session.

Naples Consulting is a "Free-Cycling" Center If you need a part that has been donated "recycled"; you can get that needed part for free. If you request a brand-new part over a used-part, you will always be given the part of your choice. Customers are never charged for the 'free-cycled' part; but may be charged installation, or removal fees for the parts' replacement. All donated parts are given away in such a manner and are NEVER SOLD. Many working computer parts would simply end up in the land-fill, if it were not for this type of recycling service. You can participate in this service, by donating your hardware to NCS - please note what the problem with the device was. (bad hard drive - virus - etc.)
